Are you sick and tired of the way you’ve been thinking, feeling, reacting or not acting?
I can’t tell you how common that is! I’ve seen many people who’ve worked hard and yet they’ve remained frustrated and discouraged because they hadn’t been able to achieve deep and lasting changes. Many believed there was something wrong with them… It seemed the more motivated they’d been, the more frustrated and down on themselves they were.
However, what had been the source of what had been going for them was rooted outside their awareness.
Unfortunately, many approaches don’t address the root of an issue in a way that brings on deep and lasting change. Spending time, effort and/or money without results makes it seem like big, satisfying transformations are hard to come by. This is far from the truth.
A little background in how I look at stuckness
As you know, behind the scenes our brains are continually processing enormous amounts of information. Just a small portion becomes conscious to us. This would consist of the end results of information being processed in the unconscious, such as sensations, emotions, thoughts and beliefs, behaviors and habits that we happen to notice.
Much of what we notice is brought to our attention as a result of our vigilant protective system.
This system is primed to protect us from threat at all costs. In this way we are no different from other species. It initiates what you may recognize as a fight, flight, freeze, or fawn reaction. These are automated bundles of thoughts, feelings and actions that automatically kick in.
Some systems such as digestion will slow or stop while others, like circulation speed up. This works quite well for life forms living in their natural environments. Protection turns on when needed, fuels powerful fight or escape and then turns off instantly as soon as its no longer necessary.
This worked well for us, too, in the natural environments we used to live in, enough, but not always so well in our current way of living. The problem is, it’ll sometimes kick in whether it serves us or not. It can even get stuck on. The reason? We have two remarkable systems that can get out of sync in ways that feel bad, waste our energy and keep us from flourishing.
We’ve developed cognitive abilities that allow us to understand complex concepts, ideas, and principles that are not tied to physical objects or immediate sensory experiences. Meanwhile, our nervous system processes only in tangible, real-world information. This has led to mismatches within the way our minds process information.
Our protective system understands sensory information, but not how to differentiate abstract concepts like “the past” or “the future” from reality. It treats all incoming data as happening now, even if its about a memory, or a “what-if”. Conceptual “threats” are treated the same way as actual threats physical threats to our bodies.
Conceptual threats
From our infancy, we’ve had to learn how to get our needs and wants met. Before we were even verbal, our minds were soaking up whatever rules and beliefs we were exposed to. These became our “shoulds”, “have tos”, and “musts”. Many of these are grounded in conceptual ideas, and not always useful throughout life. However, these early learnings can repel new ones, even if the earlier ones are no longer relevant or counterproductive.
Conceptual, not based-in-fact beliefs and rules even inform and distort how we see ourselves.
So any issue: anxiety, anger, worry, rumination, intense sadness, resentment or regret, heartbreak, fatigue, self-loathing, guilt or shame, even lasting pain … you name it - originate from or get distorted by the way the our human mind processes information. When we become free from distortions we are better able to tap into what enlivens us so we can enjoy clarity, love more freely and express our natural gifts.
That’s where I come in.
I specialize in guiding people’s cognitive, conscious and primitive, unconscious information processing systems to get in sync. Once in sync, your experience of yourself automatically transforms.
I specialize in Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT) - a fusion of modalities that combine working from the outside in and from the inside out. We will pinpoint root causes and then you’re led through some fun processes that make it completely clear to the unconscious mind - using its language - that the threat it was perceiving doesn’t exist. It no longer activates the protective system because the mind now reads the information accurately. I take full responsibility for causing this to happen for you. I do the work and you get the results.
What does that mean for you?
You experience calm, quiet power and think clearly. You feel more open and spacious. Many clients experience life-changing relief in one meeting. Sometimes noting that other issues we hadn’t addressed cleared up as well.
“I tried different therapies/therapists to alleviate these issues…none of these approaches seemed to work for more than a few weeks…just a few sessions with Rinda freed me from these.”

-A bit of bio
I worked in the corporate world until after I had my first child, when I discovered that I wanted to trade the “work” life for the day-to-day of raising my daughter. It felt fringe-y at the time. “Staying home” was not at all on my radar as I went through college and grad school. I felt weird and awkward at times, especially as my fellow stay-at-home friends peeled off and went back to work. It still felt right though. I felt like I was less responding to expectations and more to my own instinct and intuition.
Meanwhile, my first born was in preschool. She loved her little school, and the teachers loved having her there - she was “such a good girl” - and that felt off to me. It seemed like her zest for life, creativity and learning was getting funneled into people-pleasing and achievement. I became obsessed with how to raise my daughters to be their resilient and authentic selves.
a new career
Once my youngest got super busy with high school, I decided to go back to work, but on a new career path. My family had spent years deepening our relationships with each other, with others and ourselves, exploring interests, rich opportunities and challenges. My husband and I had worked hard to clear up much of our own personal issues. The more we cleared up, the more freedom we ALL had to flourish. I became motivated to assist others in freeing themselves and their families from whatever had been driving their conflicts and dissatisfaction….
With that in mind, I went back to school to become a mental health therapist and set out in my new career. Soon, my excitement and high hopes came crashing down. I found I had to spend a lot of energy navigating red tape rules dictated by organizations that didn’t seem to care whether anyone got better. It was a stressful and non-fulfilling way to get a paycheck. I decided to strike out on my own.
still searching…
I went to a slew of different trainings, looking for one that resonated. That’s when I discovered one that was waaayyy different. While many treatment approaches seem to be focused on either being cookie-cutter so the insurance companies like them, or too time-consuming, Rapid Resolution Therapy® cut right to making people feel better, fast.
At my first training, attendees were invited to have their concerns addressed right there in front of the group. One who volunteered had witnessed her suicidal big sister shoot herself in the head decades prior. She had struggled with grief, guilt, regret, flashbacks and deep pain ever since. I watched in amazement as those painful emotions disappeared for her - I actually saw her facial expression soften and her whole demeanor change. A couple of years later we ran into each other. She reported that not only had the pain and misery disappeared, she has peaceful and loving memories of and deep connection to her sister.
I’ve since dedicated my practice and my learning, teaching and refining of skills to the ones I was introduced to in that first training. As one of the first Certified Specialists, I have supervised colleagues, taught many classes over the years and supported those in the aftermath of tragedy.
something new
I always had a wish for one more element to what I could offer: how to support people to begin to accomplish themselves what an RRT practitioner can do for them. I’ve discovered a robust mindfulness approach called Unified Mindfulness, a whole system of mindfulness techniques. This fits the bill! Once I finish with my practicum in the fall, I’ll start to introduce UM to small groups. I believe the two systems complement each other - RRT for more overwhelming or pressing issues and UM for developing skills that deepen clarity and composure..
FAQs
-
I specialize in Rapid Resolution Therapy® (RRT), a cutting-edge treatment modality that targets the way the mind processes troubling information and memories, particularly on the “automatic pilot” level.
These updates cause powerful personal transformations and improve overall wellness.
-
Many other approaches are diagnosis or problem focused and much longer term, often with more surface results. Most tend to be top down approaches, focused on logic and reason and other conscious processes.
RRT is a resolution-focused, strength based and experiential approach that is based on cutting edge neuroscience. It works 'bottom up', recognizing that the subconscious doesn’t respond to logic or rationality, and that most problems are due to powerful subconscious roadblocks. Clearing these up automatically free up your attention and energy so you can do more of what you love (and what the world needs!)
-
Effects from trauma and other disturbing events, including childhood abuse, sexual assault, PTSD, nightmares and flashbacks.
Emotional turmoil such as anxiety, phobias, grief, guilt, shame, resentment, anger and heartbreak.
Unwanted behaviors such as compulsive eating or procrastinating.
Worry and rumination.
Self-image.
Unconscious blocks or conflicts.

I meet with adults 18+ who have been experiencing troubling feelings, thoughts and/or behaviors and are interested in effective and efficient results.
-
We start with me getting an understanding about what you’ve been experiencing. I then lead you through various experiences designed to free you from what had been troubling you. Because most issues are largely rooted in the subconscious, the processes we’ll use will target subconscious processing. This means that rather than just using logic and reason and conversation which are conscious processes, we’ll use rich, sensory experiences that delink the unwanted subconscious reactions so they are replaced with more beneficial ones. Every so often we’ll check to see how much change and improvement we've been able to create so far. Clients are often surprised at how much we can get done in a session.
-
I like to give us 2 hours, although rather than watch the clock, we’ll finish when you experience resolution.
For example, if you came in with intense resentment toward an ex, we will know you are finished when you are delighted that you can no longer even feel that resentment.
-
A 2 hour session is $500. 1 or 2 sessions with me can easily outdo months or years of traditional therapy. This is a short-term, targeted approach that creates actual shifts in how you experience yourself.
I don’t want finances to prevent care. If you are experiencing financial hardship you can let me know what fee fits your situation.
-
Cash, credit card, debit card, HSA (Health Savings Account) card, FSA (Flexible Spending Account) card, or electronic transfer (such as Zelle)
Payment is due at the end of each session.
-
1 or 2 sessions often provides the relief being sought. Ironically, some issues that people have the least hope in resolving can be resolved very quickly, like panic attacks or traumatic experiences, For more general issues such as anxiety or ongoing relationship difficulties, we may meet several times, each time freeing you up more and more. Any one session is intended to move you toward resolution as quickly and effectively as possible. Clients are frequently surprised and pleased by how quickly and painlessly their issues can be resolved.
